Let me show you something I enjoy: This fascinating fluorscence microscopy image shows a thin film of conjugated polymer mixed with a non-fluorescent matrix material. I obtained it when working towards single molecule experiments, where the amount of fluorescent material embedded in the matrix will be many orders of magnitudes smaller.
